Workshop -Volunteer Service for palliative care patients at home

Workshop Invitation – Volunteer service for palliative and end of life care patients in the home

We would like to invite you to a facilitated workshop to discuss ideas and solutions for a volunteer service to support palliative care patients, their families and carers. The aim of the workshop is to discuss current volunteer services in the area, and ideas for a sustainable ways volunteers can assist in meeting identified practical and emotional support needs as part of holistic palliative care. The session will begin with a presentation on existing models for palliative care volunteering within the home environment.

The workshop will held on Tuesday 9th September at 1-3 pm, The Argyll Hotel, Inveraray. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.

As the number of places at the workshop will be limited by the capacity of the venue, we would be grateful if you could confirm your intention to attend by contacting or on 0141 557 7552.

Please feel free to forward this on to any interested colleagues or groups, or get in touch if you have ideas about volunteering for palliative care that responds to the needs of people in Argyll and Bute.

Further information and agenda will follow in due course. We hope to see you there!

  Best wishes
