Welcome to Argyll and Bute Regional Environmental Educational Forum (ABREEF)

Argyll and Bute Regional Environmental Education Forum (ABREEF) is a forum which brings together individuals and organisations working in environmental education in Argyll and Bute. Each year ABREEF holds an environmental fair in a different part of Argyll and Bute. Last year the event was held in the Corran Halls,Oban, and previous fairs have taken place in Dunoon, Campbeltown, Lochgilphead, Cairndow, and Tarbert.

The main aim of the fair is to provide school children, community groups and families with demonstrations and hands-on games and activities to enable them to learn about the environment.

There are usually around thirty organisations involved, covering a range of topics including wildlife and biodiversity, archaeology, sustainability, waste awareness and environmental art, to name but a few!

Activity providers include national organisations specialising in environmental education as well as local ranger services and community organisations.

We are keen to make contact with local groups or individuals who would like to run an activity or provide a display for the Environmental Fair.

We would also like groups to contact us if they would like to book in to visit the fair, although booking is not essential.

If you would like to find out more about ABREEF Environmental Fair, Dunoon 2009 please contact Terry Donovan on 01631 720498 or using our contact page.
