About us

Crossroads Dalriada & The Isles was launched in 2001 and the Scheme is affiliated to Crossroads Scotland.

The Board of Management is made up of Carers and Supporters from Mid Argyll, Kintyre, Islay and Jura.  Their objective is to obtain funding to provide a short term home respite service for Carers in these areas.

The Scheme has a Co-ordinator and employs trained Home Care Attendants in all areas who are able to go into the homes of those who need care and allow the Carer some time away from their caring responsibilites.  If this service is provided from our core funding or fundraising we do not charge for this service.

We have recently teamed up with Macmillan Cancer Support to develop two special joint projects, one in Islay & Jura and one in Mid Argyll & Kintyre.  Please read about these by clicking on the menu on the left.
