The Eco Congregation Programme

This an environmental toolkit for churches.  It celebrates its tenth anniversary in Scotland on 5th March of this year.  And our Kirk Session has agreed that we too should sign up and become an Eco Congregation and members of this exciting movement within the wider Church.

We need some volunteers from young to old, to help form an Eco Congregation team.  The team will help us think about everything from our worship and how we relate to God as Creator, and Christ as Saviour who died for the whole of Creation, and springing from that worship how we behave both as a congregation and as individuals in how we might seek to live more sustainably, equitably and relationally.

Our main purpose as a congregation, remains to walk with Jesus, to celebrate, live out and share His Good News of His salvation.  Being an Eco Congregation will therefore help us fulfil this calling to live out our faith in practical ways as a congregation and church seeking to be faithful to God in Christ who has entrusted us with so much.
