North Connel Hall

The village hall in North Connel provides a regular venue for Scout and Guiding units, serving the community north of Oban; hosts a Country Dancing Group; an Indoor Bowling Club and a children’s holiday club.

We have a committee of 12 local volunteers who meet around 4 times a year to ensure that the hall is well maintained and have an annual general meeting open to the whole community.

The Hall was rebuilt in 1987 and has a large function room, 2 smaller meeting rooms, kitchen, toilets with cloakroom areas and storage space. When not in use by our regular groups the hall can also be hired for private parties, weddings and fundraising events.

To find us turn right immediately after heading north on the Connel Bridge and the hall is approximately 1 mile along the road.

In 2008 The Hall received a grant from Awards for All which allowed us to upgrade the lighting and heating and improve our disabled access.

The Scottish Government  awarded the Hall Committee £19k of Rural Priorities funding and The Robertson Trust £2500 in 2010 to refurbish the hall and improve the car parking area.  The work is now complete and to celebrate we held a Re-opening Cheese and Wine evening on Friday 13th May 2011.
