FUNDRAISER –    Beetle Drive - April 23rd. Lots of fantastic prizes.  Help us  keep the garden growing by supporting our fundraiser to purchase for plants for the new season.   Tea /Cake and a bit of fun for all ages  -  all for donation of £2.50

Next garden tidy up and planting  on site Sat 30th April 2011 .   All help welcomed, whether it be 10 mins or half an hour.  All welcome.   Do not need to be a gardener to help us out.

June 14th  2010   – Lorn Resource Centre, 7pm – Come along and support the Sensory Garden and join us after for tea and cakes. All welcome.

Our film night allowed us to launch our Friends of OCSG scheme, for more information please contact any of our committee members.

Old Oban Film night

Big thank you to all who attended our very successful film night, special thanks to John MacLean for his presentation of the slides.  Great night had by all.

Garden opening.

We are very grateful for the use of the Church for our buffet which allowed us to keep everyone dry and we did manage to get a five minute break from the rain for Calum to give a fantastic speech to declare the garden open.

The Committee and members would like to thank all the young people from Clydebank who spent time last week tidying up the garden.  Really appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you all again as visitors to the site if any of your are back in Oban.  Moran Taing.

Charities Day

What a busy week planting thursday and our stall at charities day.  Another successful day.  Big thank you to Failte for bringing on the plants ready for sale and to all those who donated plants and other items for the stall – especially Sarah whose cards and jam went down a treat with the customers.

June 2009

Initial planting commenced today – June 4th 2009 – thank you to all the volunteers who turned out to help – great to see the garden almost complete.  Lots more photos soon

New photographs taken today  7th june to allow you to see the progress from Feb 09.
Still a sunny day in Oban but this time a lot warmer.  The upper and lower circles complete and the rail almost ready.  Raised bed been  planted. Not be long until visitors welcomed on site and you can all take a couple of minutes from your busy day to have a wee look at your garden.

Our committee would like to thank everyone for the support show at our recent AGM.

Garden Progress Dec 2008

The garden is already beginning to take shape – with the start of the layout for paths.  Over the coming weeks we will endeavour to update with new photos to keep our friends from far and wide informed and allow them to watch the progress of the Garden.

Well done guys – yet again

Thanks go to everyone who supported our successful Indoor Car Boot Sale.  Plans already afoot to repeat this event in the New Year – watch this space for news.

November 2008 – Help build our Garden Funds

We are hosting a CAR BOOT SALE on Nov 29th  – Church Centre, Glencruitten Road Oban -  10  – 2 pm. – £5 per table

Following the success of last year Calendars we are happy to announce that Sarah has come up trumps for us again and presented us with some macnificient cards  – picutures of Oban – to sell in aid of our project

Cards will be on sale at the CAR BOOT SALE or from any committee member.

Target achieved

Thanks to recent funding bid success we have reached our target figure for the construction of the garden.

Lottery Success

The group are delighted with our succesful lottery bid. £89,000 towards the project.  Great start to what is going to be a very busy year for our group.
