Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis Centre
Argyll & Bute Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre (also known as Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis) offers free and confidential support to survivors, aged 13yrs and over, of all forms of sexual abuse. Women and girls and non-offending men and boys can access practical and emotional support services in a variety of ways.

Telephone, Email or Letter Support available throughout Argyll & Bute and the Islands
Family/Friends Support for non-offending family members or friends
Advocacy Services
Signposting to other agencies where beneficial and appropriate

Awareness Raising Presentations and Training
Youth Project (TESSA) delivers age-appropriate interactive workshops to schools, parents groups and youth groups
However a person reacts to rape or sexual assault, whether they feel numb or angry or scared, or all three at once – there is no “right” way to react or to deal with the trauma. We will support you of whether or not the abuse is recent or historic. We will support you whether or not you decide to report to the Police. We can help support you while you consider issues surrounding pregnancy, STI’s, visits to GP’s etc.
