STEPS to Excellence and PX2

Steps To Excellence For Personal Success, as developed by the Pacific Institute, is learning for individuals.  It is a developmental programme with the reputation of being a powerful tool for improving people’s lives.  It gives participants the opportunity to take a fresh look at their lives, enables them to see how much they are truly capable of achieving and offers tools to make it happen.
Its guiding principle is that people have an unlimited capacity for growth and creativity and can adapt to  change.  The course looks at how our minds work, which thought patterns make people more successful than others and how we learn to think more effectively.

The programme translates scientific jargon into easily understood language and illustrates the principles with examples that people can relate to their own lives.

STEPS has been implemented with success in a variety of settings. It has been particularly effective in helping long-term unemployed people develop motivation and a self-perpetuating spiral of building a positive sense of self and producing positive results

STEPS PROGRAMME

The STEPS programme consists of 13 units delivered by a trained STEPS facilitator using a variety of tools including DVD and participant activities. Maximum of 10 participants – minimum of 6 participants.

PX2 (formerly known as BREAKTHROUGH to Excellence) is based on the same principles of Steps sutiable for young people (14 -18yrs).  This programme  helps young people see that they have choices, that they can take more control of their lives and that they can develop the thinking skills they need to become self-motivated, lifelong learners.
